Green Thumb Mini-Expo

Do plants make you happy? Are you a gardener or want to get into gardening? Does your thumb have a greenish tint sometimes? Check out the Green Thumb Mini-Expo, hosted by Schram Haus Brewery and West Union Community Gardens on Sunday, March 3rd, from 12pm-3pm! West Union Community Gardens will be hosting a seed swap and a Carver-Scott Master Gardeners will be on site to provide gardening tips and answer your questions. This is a free public event for the community to bring their extra seeds and gardening knowledge to share with fellow local gardeners. They also have many donated seeds to share. There will also be a small variety of gardening and related vendors on site to help you shop and stock up for spring planting! This is a free event to attend, so join us at the Haus for a craft beer and all things gardening with fellow enthusiasts!

If you would like to participate in the community Seed Swap portion of the event, here are some helpful tips for preparing your seed offerings:

- If you have a large amount of seeds, dividing into smaller portions/baggies is helpful to share with more people easier. The seed baggies/packets will be set out on tables for people to swap independently.

- Please label on each seed bag/portion what type of seeds they are.

- If you have special growing instructions for specific seed types, those are helpful to include on/with the baggies, but not necessary. These can be typed or written by hand. Any tips are great!
